King Juan Carlos is seen aboard the 'Bribón' 48 hours after his arrival in Spain

One week before the tenth anniversary of the proclamation of Felipe VI on June 19, King Juan Carlos landed in our country this Wednesday in what is his fifth visit so far in 2024 and the twelfth since he settled in the Emirates Arabs in August 2020.
As he has done on his last trips to Spain, first he made a 'technical stop' in Vitoria to undergo a medical check-up at the clinic of his great friend Eduardo Anitua; and in the middle of the afternoon he landed on the private plane that he uses for all his travels at the Vigo airport, where Pedro Campos would pick him up to immediately head to his residence in Sanxenxo.
And we hadn't seen him since. Maintaining a low profile, the Emeritus has chosen not to leave the house of the owner of the 'Bribón' in the last 48 hours, in which he would have received a visit from some friends and enjoyed Galician gastronomy as he does in each of his visits to the Pontevedra town.
A 'seclusion' that this Friday came to an end, when Don Juan Carlos went to the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo after 2:00 p.m. to begin home training for the 6M class regatta that will be held this weekend in Galician waters, preparation for the Spanish Championship that will be held between September 27 and 30 and in which the monarch wants to participate at the helm of the 'Bribón'.
With a sporty look in blue, a cap, sunglasses and a big smile reflecting his happiness at being able to haggle again - since on his last visit he did not do so due to the bad sea conditions - Felipe VI's father has arrived at the pontoon and, after going down the stairs with some difficulty, he boarded the boat he captains to get ready for the competition.
This is the Emeritus' fifth visit to Spain so far in 2024. In addition to his 3 trips to Sanxenxo, Don Juan Carlos has also traveled to Madrid to attend the wedding of the mayor of the capital, José Luis Martínez-Almeida , with Teresa Urquijo, and at the funeral mass for his nephew Fernando Gómez-Acebo, where he was reunited with his entire family and with Kings Felipe and Letizia, with whom he exuded complicity and closeness.
